New Wave Offshore proudly welcomes Louise Engel as our Business Development Manager – Brazil. Louise has two decades of experience across the maritime industry and will be a valuable addition to the company’s growing global footprint.
About Louise
Louise graduated from the Maritime Academy and holds an MBA in Project Management. Louise has built an impressive career as a Drilling Rig SDPO, DP Instructor, FMEA Practitioner, and DP Authority. Her expertise spans tankers, offshore logistics vessels, drilling platforms, and international maritime consultancy.
Since 2005, Louise has spent seven years offshore before transitioning into maritime and Dynamic Positioning training in 2014. She has instructed courses in Major Emergency Management, Maneuverability, Electronic Charting, Bridge Management, Offshore Leadership, and all levels of Dynamic Positioning for both Nautical and Machinery disciplines. She has also worked as a consultant accrediting training centers under the Nautical Institute’s guidelines.
In 2017, while working in China, Louise expanded into DP trials and FMEAs, further diversifying her technical skill set. Now, with New Wave Offshore, she is applying her broad perspective to the Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) sector, strengthening the company’s presence in Brazil.
Louise is completing her Mechanical Engineering degree and pursuing a Master’s in Business Transformation with Artificial Intelligence.
