In late 2022, we mobilized to West Africa within days of a subsea hull breach of an active FPSO to a locally flagged supply vessel.
The company contracted the only available vessel in the area for emergency response including daily reporting of FPSO condition. DP2 classed vessel with severely depleted DP capabilities and inexperienced crew. Responsibilities included guidance and oversight to bridge crew / DPOs during DP operations. Services included cargo ops, personnel transfer, and bunkering. We spent three months onboard until FPSO was wet towed for scrap. Active daily engagement resulted in zero accidents and/or incidents throughout the campaign.
2022 – 2023, provided Dynamic Positioning and operational oversight onboard DP2 W2W accommodation vessel for a major oil & gas company.
Responsibilities included operational review and guidance to DPOs, daily reporting ashore, active involvement in QHSE and hygiene, activity planning for bunkering, and planned disconnections for maintenance.
In 2023, performed MTS Gap Analysis on two 6th Generation Drillship FMEA and Proving Trials documents. Updated both documents to fulfill MTS guidance.
In 2023, we performed a Suitability Survey for DP3 compact semisubmersible accommodation vessel to be utilized as W2W vessel for FPSO shutdown in West Africa.
