NEW WAVE OFFSHORE ENERGY SELECTED AS MARINE WARRANTY SURVEYOR FOR SINOPEC SUPPORTING TOTALENERGIES’ AGUP PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT IN IRAQ AS PART OF THE GAS GROWTH INTEGRATED PROJECT (GGIP)
New Wave Offshore Energy is pleased to announce the award of a Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) contract by Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation in support of the Associated Gas Upstream Project (AGUP) – Phase 2 in southern Iraq, as part of the GGIP[1], operated by TotalEnergies alongside its partners Basra Oil Company and QatarEnergy.
Under the award, New Wave Offshore Energy will provide Marine Warranty Surveyor services associated with international transportation and shipment of line pipe packages and related project materials supporting the AGUP2 NWP development package.
The scope includes independent review and approval activities related to marine transportation engineering, shipment procedures, load-out and load-in operations, transportation routing, weather criteria, and marine transportation risk management for cargoes originating from multiple international supply locations.
The phase 2 of the Ratawi field redevelopment (AGUP2) which was launched in September 2025, will enable to increase production to 210,000 bpd starting in 2028, and position Ratawi as one of Iraq’s lowest-emission oil production sites.
