About Frank Benton

Frank Benton’s career spans over 35 years working for oil & gas offshore and onshore global service contractors, beginning with Southport, Inc. Southport’s revenues grew 5x during a five-year timeframe as a result of Frank working with a small executive management team by creating bidding and working opportunities with international oil & gas, companies, global prime contractors and engineering firms.

Frank then went on to work with Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. (GIFI), a publicly traded company specializing in primarily fabricating shallow water fixed platforms, then, with Franks’s assistance, entered the Deepwater GoM sector on a larger scale to fabricate larger topsides.

In 2006, he joined McDermott, where he served in many business development roles in fabrication, engineering, and subsea business units. One of Frank’s many achievements was being responsible for signing approximately 12 master service agreements within five years. These agreements were a requirement to bid for work. These agreements resulted in over $200 million in contract awards and one major EPC contract valued at over $1.3 billion for an international Deepwater floating facility.

During that time, KBR was re-establishing itself in the offshore market, and Frank joined their business development group. His efforts over five years resulted in securing approximately 12 MSAs, serving as the Global Upstream Asset Manager for Chevron, and assisting with awarding a large strategy contract with a super major oil & gas company in the GoM.

After leaving KBR in 2018, he started his own consulting group, where he enjoys working with several unique companies like Abyss Solutions, Benthic, and UTSI International. He recently joined Bronco Industrial Services and Allison Marine, specializing in onshore and offshore civil, mechanical, and pipe fabrication construction in the United States.
